Last night was the finale for Bachelor Canada and I feel all of Canada got the happy fairytale ending we were hoping for. Brad Smith chose the good girl Bianka Kamber over the manipulative Whitney Lee.

You could tell right from the start that Brad was at his last ends with Whitney. They’ve only known each other about 4 weeks total and probably only spent 6 actual full days together at this point. You shouldn't have to be working at your relationship already and having bumps and kinks in the road. It should be smooth, fun and easy right now like his relationship with Bianka. Whitney shouldn’t have made it this far. I think Brad finally realized this last night. It will be interesting to see his reaction to seeing her next week at the After the Rose episode.

In a serious shocking finale, Brad Smith gives his final rose to nurse, Bianka Kamber! 

Brad Smith took both girls on individual dates in his hometown of Hudson, QC, introducing them to his father, mother, sister, brother-in-law, nephews, and best friend. The family-favourite was soon made clear, as Bianka’s warmth and personality outshone Whitney’s uncomfortable and closed-off demeanor. Worried about the man Brad became when around Whitney, his family felt that Bianka was the better match. Brad was then off to Barbados for the final dates of the season. Hoping to make up for their less-than-enjoyable sea-kayaking adventure, Brad and Bianka mounted some horses for a fun game of polo before enjoying a romantic dinner on the beach.

The Bachelor: Women Tell All is always a fan favourite of the season as all the girls get back together after seeing and hearing all the nasty things they’ve said about each other behind camera throughout the journey. It’s so funny to see reactions and the girls confront each other and Brad. Here’s my summary:

 

Gabrielle: She just talks the talk. Half the time she doesn’t pronounce her words right or speak with any tact. I think she just likes to open her mouth. She always seems to be dishing out hate and negativity towards the other contestants—like she’s perfect. I think she needs to develop more of a social filter. I agreed when Britney said, "telling the truth is just your opinion and was totally bullying." Didn’t your mother teach you little white lies keep people’s feelings from being hurt? There seems to be a love hate relationship with the other girls and Gabrielle. It was nice to see her apologize to the girls that she offended and maybe this will have her work on her social filter a bit.

Last night’s Bachelor Canada episode was everyone’s favourite---the overnight dates! This is where Brad really gets to know the girls behind closed doors (without the production and crew of 50 watching their every move). This is the moment where they actually can be themselves and connect.  The thing I love about Bachelor Canada is their timing—2 hours is way too long in my opinion and the Canadians nailed it without dragging it out. One thing for sure is that this season seems to be over way earlier than the American Bachelor. I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. We’re already at the finale after next weeks’ Women Tell All. Maybe they ran over budget with all the elaborate dates and had to axe more girls weekly. Who knows!
