Last night was the finale for Bachelor Canada and I feel all of Canada got the happy fairytale ending we were hoping for. Brad Smith chose the good girl Bianka Kamber over the manipulative Whitney Lee.

You could tell right from the start that Brad was at his last ends with Whitney. They’ve only known each other about 4 weeks total and probably only spent 6 actual full days together at this point. You shouldn't have to be working at your relationship already and having bumps and kinks in the road. It should be smooth, fun and easy right now like his relationship with Bianka. Whitney shouldn’t have made it this far. I think Brad finally realized this last night. It will be interesting to see his reaction to seeing her next week at the After the Rose episode.

The Bachelor: Women Tell All is always a fan favourite of the season as all the girls get back together after seeing and hearing all the nasty things they’ve said about each other behind camera throughout the journey. It’s so funny to see reactions and the girls confront each other and Brad. Here’s my summary:

 

Gabrielle: She just talks the talk. Half the time she doesn’t pronounce her words right or speak with any tact. I think she just likes to open her mouth. She always seems to be dishing out hate and negativity towards the other contestants—like she’s perfect. I think she needs to develop more of a social filter. I agreed when Britney said, "telling the truth is just your opinion and was totally bullying." Didn’t your mother teach you little white lies keep people’s feelings from being hurt? There seems to be a love hate relationship with the other girls and Gabrielle. It was nice to see her apologize to the girls that she offended and maybe this will have her work on her social filter a bit.

Last night’s Bachelor Canada episode was everyone’s favourite---the overnight dates! This is where Brad really gets to know the girls behind closed doors (without the production and crew of 50 watching their every move). This is the moment where they actually can be themselves and connect.  The thing I love about Bachelor Canada is their timing—2 hours is way too long in my opinion and the Canadians nailed it without dragging it out. One thing for sure is that this season seems to be over way earlier than the American Bachelor. I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. We’re already at the finale after next weeks’ Women Tell All. Maybe they ran over budget with all the elaborate dates and had to axe more girls weekly. Who knows!

Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson broke-up last month, and the model has kept herself very busy. According to Celebuzz, Courtney is in the process of writing a Tell-All Book about her experiences on the Bachelor and her break-up with Ben.

Melissa Rycroft's Bachelor Tell-All Book! 

Here's what she tells the website about her break-up with Ben: " it was a lot of pressure from the show and the negativity of it and I felt like we overcame that as much as we could. But I just think there were so many outside factors and so much played into it. I put my all into that relationship. I never fought harder for someone. You know, it was a big disappointment for me — that loss."

So what is going to be in this Tell-All Bachelor book, Courtney says: "“I’m writing a book about my experience… it would be more about clearing the air....Through everything that happened, they tried to dig up my past … I had no voice. I think it can be pretty steamy."

No word yet on when (or if) the book will be published. Courtney is currently meeting with publishers.

0 'The Bachelor 2013' Sean Lowe in Car Accident

Bachelor star, Sean Lowe, was involved in a car accident on Monday. Along with fellow ABC producers, the Bachelor star was lucky to sustain no serious injuries and was able to continue shooting (the show). Bachelor producer, Mike Fleiss, later tweeted @fleissmeister Sean and several of my beloved producers were in a car accident yesterday. Thank God everyone is OK.

Thankfully everyone is okay and Sean can go back to handing out roses.

They were an unlikely match but Tony Pieper, the sweet single father, and Blakeley Jones, the outspoken cocktail waitress, fell in love on the set of Bachelor Pad 3. In a surprise finale, Tony got down on one knee and proposed to Blakeley (who happily said yes). Blakeley soon moved to Tony's hometown of Portland to settle down with him and his 10 year old son.

Dancing with the Stars,' Melissa Rycroft, was taken to hospital this afternoon after suffering from a head and neck injury during DWTS rehearsals. According to People Magazine, "Rycroft fell while doing camera blocking for Monday's group number at CBS studios... She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined." There is no word whether or not Rycroft will be able to compete on Monday.

We are wishing Melissa a very speedy recovery.

Who is Nicole? She showed up on episode 3, out of no where! It reminds me of myself on my season of The Bachelor. Ha! Usually the good sane girls get less air time. I like her already! The second date brought the girls on a trip to Mexico. We totally got ripped off on my season. Bachelor Canada must have some good sponsorship! Every week there's some amazing destination. 

 

1-on-1 with Bianka: Bianka stood out most in Mexico. She plays hard to get but I feel it won't work in a situation like this because there are 11 other girls giving him attention. But apparently it worked for her this time. Won't last long. Bianka was my cousin's next door neighbour when she dated Kris Humphries. I guess he likes the diva challenge like a Kardashian. I'm over it. Grow up!  Holding onto the past doesn't do any good. 

 

Bianka, You're a pretty girl and don't need to play games. I will be surprised to see her last until the end but you never know. I was surprised she got the 1-on-1 date and we got to see her open up a bit. That will get you further. Well at least we know that if the date went badly, Brad could have thrown her overboard in the anchor t-Shirt and let her sink to the bottom. In order to have a proper healthy relationship, you need to get to know someone in a private setting by communicating and spending time together in real life situations. 

 

I feel once the show ends, they may feel differently towards one another. These couples may like each other a lot but they are more in love with the idea of being in love than they are with the actual person. The (Bachelor) relationships seldom work out because they rush into engagements without really knowing how the other person deals with challenges in day to day life.

Last night's Bachelor Canada episode was a lot more tame than the others. We got to know the girls better without all the added drama. I got to watch tonight with my boyfriend Jordan who was in town for a couple days to help us move into our new condo!

1-on-1 with Kara: The first date of the night was the 1-on-1 with Kara. They hopped aboard a private helicopter to a ranch in South Western Alberta. My boyfriend liked this date as he's from Alberta and commented how his grandparents lived in the area. 1-on-1 dates are the most crucial dates as this is where you actually get to (somewhat) know one another without the other girls there. Going by the American show, the girls with early 1-on-1 dates stick around to be in the top 5. 

 

I kept going on about how great Brad looked last night but my boyfriend wrote this line while I was in the bathroom on commercial break "Brad is quite attractive but my boyfriend makes him look like a mutt cause he is so hot." I had to leave that one in. I really like Kara and it appears Brad does to. As Brad said, "no one can back up a horse like Kara". I can tell Brad likes his brunettes.

0 People Magazine: Emily Maynard and Jef Holm Confirm Split

After weeks of speculation, Emily Maynard and Jef Holm confirm that they have indeed, called off their engagement. The couple released this joint statement to People Magazine:

What Emily says: "I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," Maynard says. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision. As you know, at first I wasn't sure that I should even be The Bachelorette, but I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe in the show. I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person – and you know what, we tried our best because the love between us was so real. I have nothing but respect and love for Jef and his family, but ultimately we are just at different points in our lives. I've learned so much and I'm grateful for all of the support I've received. I'm excited and hopeful for the next chapter in my life with my daughter, Ricki. I do hope that you will respect our privacy and allow us the time we need to heal."

What Jef says: "Meeting Emily on The Bachelorette was an incredible experience, we've had quite the journey. I've never loved someone so much in my whole life, Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met. She opened up her world to me and I fell in love with her, [her daughter] Ricki, her family and the Hendricks. She has a great group of people who surround her. What we shared was completely genuine and real and it breaks my heart but we have decided to break up. Emily will always have a special place in my heart. I don't regret a single second I spent with her or Ricki. They both have been a huge part of my life. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but we are moving on to the next chapter of our lives. Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her."

Sorry Jemily fans, Emily Maynard and Jef Holm are officially over.

0 Molly Mesnick Expecting a Baby in March!

The Bachelor family is expanding! Last week, Jason Mesnick announced that him and wife Molly will be having a baby. Jason, who met his wife on season 13 of The Bachelor, married in 2010. Jason has a 7 year old son, Tye, from his previous marriage.

‘Tyler is going to be a big brother,’” Jason Mesnick tells People Magazine. “He’s been asking me for years. He’s always wanted to be a big brother. So we played the game and he looked at Molly and I and said ‘Really?’ Molly made him a t-shirt that says ‘Big Brother’ on it and he’s really proud. He wore it to school.” Molly is currently in her second trimester, feeling great, and looking forward to meeting her Bachelor baby in late March. Congratulations Jason and Molly Mesnick!

Bachelor couple (or ex Bachelor couple) will soon be confirming their break-up. According to sources, the two will release a joint statement about their split in the coming weeks. Both Emily and Jef have stayed silent but have both changed their Twitter profile last night. Their previous Twitter photos of them hugging now displays a solo photo of Jef and Emily and her daughter. Looks like the  rumors are true and another Bachelor couple bites the dust.

It's been a lot of break-up news recently in Bachelorland except for one couple. Jason and Molly Mesnick are expecting a baby! Jason tweeted his good news earlier today!

@jason_mesnick "WAHOOOOOOO!!! Molly is going to be a MOM and TY a BIG BROTHER! YIPPEEEEEEE!"

Jason, who appeared on The Bachelor season 13 and famously dumped Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney (whom he later married). Congratulations Jason and Molly on your future Bachelor baby!

Tonight was another successful night of Bachelor Canada, and we got to know some of the Canadian beauties vying for Brad's heart. Last night the girls all moved into the mansion. I remember my first day at the mansion. Watching made me miss being at the Malibu mansion with my Season 14 girls. I remember we'd get into our bathing suits and have baths together and gossip with a glass of wine. We would all gather around the pool and leave our microphones hidden in the house somewhere and laugh at the sound techs who were frantically trying to find them and re-attach them to our bodies.  What I don't miss is sharing a room though.  It's impossible to catch any sleep. Girls are up all night giggling, crying, and carrying on and then you're woken up at 7am to film. 

I have to note that both Brad and Bachelor host, Tyler Harcott, looked very handsome last night. I loved them in more casual clothing. They both seemed more comfortable and confident. Tyler has started to grow on me and I'm trying to get passed the fact we can't have Chris Harrison. I have to say he was better tonight than last week. More relaxed with his role.
